Welcome
2SoulDesign began in 2002 with the former name of ChungArts. Originally aiming at the flash gaming arena, as soon as the iriver Clix (c) went into the hands of the programmer- flash 2.1 games began in production. As of now, we are still young, but we plan to create high-end games for those privileged to own the clix. Enjoy!

08/1/07 ::
EDIT:: This blog will no longer be updated. 2Souldesign's news will be moving to http://2souldesign.wordpress.com/
We are sorry for any inconvenience.
p.s. The downloads will also be moved in the future.
Several months ago, I announced a few games that would be released. I'm finally working on the last game for this year - 'Paper Tank.' However, the title will be switched for the time being as "Flight." The reason for the change is because... I'm not sure - haha.
Well looking back, most of the games had a switch of names (jump being the exception).
- SketchED to SketchLite
- Shogun Showdown to Ninja Strike
- Paper Tank to Flight
For those interested, I've added an alpha release of 'Flight' in the alpha downloads. Its nothing much at the moment, but it'll be a beta by the end of fall as promised. What I currently like about this game, is that it will not lag even with a few special effects - which is unfortunately not released at the moment.
I've also begun to port a few games for the e10. It'll require a few dimension shrinking and recoding, but in due time it'll be finished.
Just to clear things up, 'Flight' is NOT the new game I was mentioning about in the previous post.

07/21/07 :: Thanks for all the e-mails regarding the bugs/glitches on sketchlite. The main reason this beta had more glitches than expected was the flash version differences. The coding had to be re-done which caused a lot of the codes to conflict. I'll be working on sketchlite as soon as I finish a project i'm working on specifically for the chumby.
I have a few plans to do this summer:
+ A sketchlite website.
+ Release a teaser of a new game I've been working on for a while.
Out of curiosity, should I migrate this website to an actual blog? let me know!
E-mail : (2souldesign[at]gmail.com)
-santoki
07/08/07 :: I've been getting a few e-mails regarding sketchlite beta2, and it seems there are several buggy levels. E-mail me if issues arise within the game at : 2souldesign[@]gmail.com
Once I get a full list, I'll recode the bugs. They are called "beta" for a reason. :) Thanks for your cooperations!
07/07/07 ::
Update: Sketch is up for grabs!
SKETCH LITE BETA 2 will be out today! at 7:00 pm PST GMT-8.
6/23/07 ::
Good News! SketchLite Beta 2 will be soon released!
For the past few weeks (resulting about a month), an unexpected even had occurred, therefore causing huge delays in several projects. I'm still in the midst of resolving some of the issues, so please bear with me as I get things back in order.
-Santoki
6/1/07 :: Expect a full on going production line this summer! Starting... Now!
5/18/07 :: I have about a week left of university studies, and then the clix game productions will be back in schedule. Thanks for being patient for several months...
-santoki5/6/07:: Not a huge update, but I added a nice feature for shogun showdown - 2 player mode! Now you and a friend can hold each side and press the Left/Right key to duel for the money! Get a copy at Alpha downloads!
-Perhaps adding a score chart, and other misc. objects will be considered.
-Santoki
4/23/07:: If you haven't noticed already, I have added a Meebo widget. It's basically an easy way of chatting to me when I'm online. Feel free to message me when I'm available, but please note that I may be away for a while.
I'll have to ask for all of your patience as I finish up the upcoming finals and midterms of this semester. As much as I wish to continue producing games, I am still bound with my education in school.
Again, I'm sorry for any inconvenience.
p.s. There's a new game you can download in the alpha downloads.
-Santoki
4/22/07 :: Check out the new link for Alpha Downloads! What is Alpha Downloads? Well, it's basically downloads for the games I'm currently working for, but not in any way finished. Note: These games might are not finished! Chances are they won't have any instructions, incorrect or no buttons, no visual appeal, etc.
-santoki
4/19/07:: Slowly, but surely Shogun Showdown is making progress. I've probably made 3-5 versions, but most of them didn't satisfy me.
One of the versions, I decided to make, will be its own game.
I'll be releasing the new beta real soon... I'm working on the pseudo-menu right now.
-santoki
4/15/07:: Where is Shogun Showdown? It was supposed to be available today, but to tell you all the truth, the game is still being programmed for optimization. Many apologies to those who were patiently waiting!
-santoki4/7/07:: A music game is being developed at the moment. It'll be a ear training program - probably a piece of cake for musicians - but for the low life's like myself, it'll be a challenging game.
Shogun Showdown has been experiencing serious unneeded lag in the clix... I'm trying to work on some optimization code. Know that if it is released with lag, it'll only be a beta. haha.
I've almost completed Sketch Lite Beta 2's second stage. I plan to add another stage before releasing the second beta. So... good luck waiting for that!
For those of you who are looking for a new mp3 player that can play my games/apps check this site out: link here
That's a link to the latest clix2. You can pre-order yourself a clix2 now!
4/2/07::
Congrats to the winners!
Highest Original Score :: 9123 Shun.
Highest Random Score :: 3917 Grant.
You'll both receive the latest game of JUMP and an exclusive SketchLite Beta2 password.
For all the contestants who entered, you will be receiving a password for the upcoming game Shogun Showdown.
The prizes/passwords will be distributed/e-mailed this week.
Shogun Showdown beta will be available 4/15/07 or sooner!
-santoki
4/1/07:: Well times up! All the scores will be evaluated and the winner(s) will be announced sometime this week!
For those of you waiting for the second beta passwords, I'm running a little late on those passwords, but I'll send them in the same time the winners of the jump contest is announced. Thanks for understanding.
3/29/07::
Only two more days until the contest is over. The winner's and honorable mentions will be announced next week.
3/23/07::
Just wanted to let you all know that the contest has roughly a week left now. Just to let you all know, you can submit your password as much as you want. You won't be penalized for "too-many-entries." The jump top scores will be hidden when the end comes near for more suspense... Those of you who make it to the top ten will receive an honorable mention prize, while the winners receive the new game of jump and an exclusive Sketch Lite 2nd beta password.
Just as a side note, here's what's being planned for the future:
As promised a second beta will commence this mid-April (those that e-mailed me back in March 15). This will be another game I had mentioned earlier this year - Shogun Showdown. If you missed the chance to enter this second beta, don't worry everything will be re-released this summer.
I've been getting several e-mails regarding SketchLite beta 2. It's still being programmed, but you'll see it soon available for the next testing. You'll be able to utilize the item you win, from the first beta. :D
123ABC, is also being worked on for a more faster and easier printing, as well as some other nice features.
Paper Tank, if some of you were following along, won't be available until fall or winter.
Ok, I think I spilled enough information for one day.

3/19/07:: Contest is now back on schedule!
!!! IMPORTANT READ !!!
If your planning on entering the contest, please re-download the contest file.
A huge bug was found where one could abuse the points systems to their own liking. The encryption has been changed and a new system has been added. After the completion of a round, you will be granted a password. You can not save the password for later use, so make sure you write it down, as it will be the only way to save it. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Download the new contest file here

3/18/07:: Wow, we've made it. A Flash Lite contest has been held by flashmobilegroup.org. The contest was for any flash developers around the world to compete for several categories:

We give out many thanks for those who have been a regular customer for all of our FlashLite games (MisticRiver.net, Clixhere.net, Kgadget, and everyone else). It is a true honor for us to win this award.
As of now, we may have a chance withmoket.com, a flash lite distribution company - we'll have our finger's crossed!

3/17/07:: It's begun! download at portal!
3/14/07 ::
3/11/07 :: It has been a while since I've updated... many pardons. I was extremely busy with school work, and will continue to be busy for another week, but for those of you who check this site often thank you! Some of you might be wondering what I do at my university, well here's a sample work of what I do.
It's a starcraft based game where you maneuver a wraith ( a ship).
It was programmed poorly, so don't expect anything "great" about it. haha. Download it at the download portal.
WARNING! this is not a FLASH game! This is an executable program (.exe) that will run off of blender's engine. Don't put it in your DAP thinking it will run... please. haha.
-santoki
3/4/07 :: SketchLite has been downloaded 234 times - Incredible.
Well I've been getting several e-mails regarding the second beta, and I'm surprised many of you have already beaten the first stage of SketchLite - was it that easy? ;) Well I'll be waiting for the e-mails until the 15th of March for the next testing. Meanwhile, I'll have to confess that school has taken a huge chunk of my "free time" from me (especially with four Mid Terms!). I won't be able to progress in making games/apps this week, but I'll certainly brainstorm for the up coming titles. Thanks for your support! I was thinking... maybe we could have some sort of a jumpGen contest. What do you guys think? ;)
My score for jumpGen is currently:
Original = 7005
Random = 2482

3/2/07 ::
EDIT: CONSIDER YOURSELVES LUCKY!
I had a few e-mails that complained the time difference was a factor, while some of you forgot to save the game, and others had weird excuses...
Well whatever the case, we'll make this beta version of SketchLite available for download 24/7 *hooray*. The reason it was withheld was because I wanted only those few that visited this site regularly to have a heads up of what I was doing.
So feel free to re-download SketchLite for your clix playing pleasures! Don't forget to participate for the second beta (see below post)!
Download HERE.
p.s. more people visited this site than yesterday... wow.
- - -
Well our stat counter says, there were roughly 0ver 100 downloads... thank you all for participating in this beta testing.
Again, as beta testers, please send to us an e-mail regarding our products. You are the voices of our future. Did you like the game, was there a problem? Please the only way we can improve is by your inputs!
Another beta testing game will be released in April. However, there is a condition that must be met to participate. One must do the following:
Email us with the subject :: 2SD comments
Then tell us a brief summary of your experience with any of our games/application (preferably Sketch Lite). These experiences can be comments, criticism, and/or suggestions.
Send this e-mail before MARCH 15.
We'll keep all e-mails confidential and will not sell it to the public. On MARCH 31, We'll e-mail you all the password to open the .zip of the new game.
As for a bonus, write the secret code that was given to you after beating Sketch Lite, and we'll tell you an in-game password for the new beta game release.

2/28/07 :: I'm not dead! yet... I've been very busy with school lately, and on top of that I had to attend a conference. No fear, because I'm back on schedule.
I decided to send a modified "jump" to adobe labs, and let you all try out sketch lite beta earlier. So... if I lose the contest, no games for all of you! haha just kidding!
If you haven't seen it already, here is the SketchLite Trailer: here

Day 0
2/13/07 ::
How many of us shop at a local store and say, "darn, I forgot what I was going to buy..." Or maybe a friend of yours wanted to tell you a phone number, but you didn't have the resource to write. We've all had those times, but fear no more! The clix can now make quick memo's for you!
I've made an application called "123ABC!" As you can see "123 ---" should bring this goody right at the beginning of all your flash games for fast easy access.
It can save data! so no need to fear! Download it here.
And also since the new clix 2 gen is coming, a new fan based clix site has been created! visit it here.
-santoki
2/11/07 ::It's been a slow year... I'm in school learning about data structure and different programming algorithms, and I can't complain it being boring, but at the same time I'd much rather be creating flash Lite games for the iRiver DAP's!
Here's an update,
-santoki
2/7/07 ::Hi everyone, adobe labs is holding a flash Lite contest, and as much as I would like to release a beta of the new game "sketch" I want to hold it in for the contest. As an entrant, I'm not allowed to show any content of it - darn.
Well, I'll get something for you guys to play with in a few days!
-santoki
2/1/07 ::It's been a slow week, but here's a small tidbit of a tactics engine I'm working on.
It's not finished at all and you'll have to reset a couple times to actually see all the features.
Download it at the portal!
-santoki
1/25/07 ::
New Jump Site opened! visit here
Tell us what you think, we'd love to hear from you all!

Count down begins! I'll have the site and downloads ready in a hour! Thank you for your patience!

hehe in a few hours, I'll release the final or... if improve-able second to final version of jump. I'm working on a site redesign for jump so the information can be up to date with it. just a few more hours... i'm looking at a roughly 3-9 hours from now.
-Santoki
1/23/07 :: Why is the new jump version still not in the download portal? It's because i'm not really satisfied with the FPS it offers for the clix. I really want to perfect it before it gets published. Although I can't test the performance of jump on the u10, I know it'll out-perform the clix in FPS. As a clix owner, I feel obliged to get the performance of jump ( a fast action paced game) into a reasonable FPS setting.
For that to work, I'll need to reduce a bit of variable and eye candy. The game(s) is finished, but it'll need just a few more days of optimization. I hope I'll be able to call it jump: final! for both the clix and u10 users - with high score! =) I think it'll be ready by Wed-Thur.
Here's a screen shot of the new mode - "tug-o-war."
Comments/Suggestions? e-mail us
-santoki
1/20/07:: Eureka! I got high scores working! I'll have the game available soon! One minor bad news, flash lite cannot translate the code I had for sky-jump... it will be missed by the u10 users.
-santoki
1/19/07:: Jump is beginning to port itself to the u10! Although I haven't actually been able to test it on a u10 device, I've scripted a jump game using only flash lite 1.1 so it should work. Since Jump is now scripted in flash lite 1.1, it will allow all u10 and clix owners to play jump.
It's still a young version since I just began experimenting with it, but I'll definitely make it close to the clix's version.
On the note about the high score, or saving data on the U10, I've spent a few hours searching through google and even read through the Korean u10 CDK and had no luck with it. If any of you can help me find the code, or a sample .fla that utilizes the "setPersistentData();" I'd appreciate it.
p.s. You can follow santoki's development through the blog provided here.
-Santoki
1/18/07 (edit) ::
I'll add this little footnote right now, I've been having a few suggestions to add a high score viewing that is saved to the clix. For that there is a good news and a bad news.
Bad News, I'll have to rewrite the script in a format I'm not to familiar with (flash lite 1.1/flash 4 AS). Steep dumbed down learning curve. A programmer's jargon, but No use of functions/AS 2.0 luxury. no programming new content until 1.1 is learned.
Good News, u10 users will now be able to play jump! High scores will be available! Cellphones and other Symbian products can play jump!
If it's okay with my great audience, I'll take a few days off of programming and study flash lite 1.1
For a confiscation to hold me accountable (haha!), I'll even post up what I learned into a blog (my homework!). That way we can all learn together! Oh yes!
We'll I thank you all for your patience. I'll post a link to our blog in a few hours.

Jump 2.2.5 has been released! We've added a random game mode, where you'll now have to rely on your "sixth senses." No more repetition... We hope you'll enjoy this version.
So far, Sketch has completed its first stages. We'll have a page dedicated to sketch in a few days. There you'll learn a little more what it is about and when to expect it.
1/10/07 :: Here's a screen shot of the main screen of the upcoming titles.

Figure 1 :: Sketch

Figure 2 :: Shogun Showdown!
That's all now folks... more info to come...
-2SD Dev Team
1/5/07 :: Hello All! After a few days of hard coding and a GUI make over, we bring you jump 2.0! We've added a new featured play-mode called "sky Jump." At the moment, it plays in a obvious pattern, however, we plan to spark a few more brain power to make it just as challenging as the original jump.
Again, we ask you the players, to help us create a better experience while playing. If you have a suggestion, or a comment please don't hesitate to let us know. E-mail us at 2SoulDesign@gmail.com
-2SD dev team.
12/31/06 :: We at 2SD wish you all a Happy New Year! Here's a short list of future games to come:
-SketchED
-Jump:Final
-ShogunShowdown
-Paper Tank
(not Chronologically Ordered).
2007! Here we go!
-2SD Team
12/27/06 :: It's been a refreshing Christmas holiday for us at 2SoulDesign. We're taking a break for the rest of this week and a few days after New Years, but as promised we are working on the updated version of Jump. We will silently release a 2 ball mode with new GUI available for download here.
Otherwise, we hope you have a great Christmas holiday and a happy new year!
-2SD devTeam
12/25/06 :: Merry Christmas everyone! Unfortunately due to an unexpected event, we are unable to prepare a treat originally planned for Christmas... However, not to fear. As a reimbursement, we would like to release a trailer for a new game for the clix a few weeks early. This new game is titled "SketchED." We hope your anxious for it as much as we are.
Here is the Link
For those of you wondering, the captures were not done on the actual clix, but on a pc. It was captured via pc for a more viewable experience.
For those of you who are "jump" fans, your in for a surprise, as we are about to re release a two ball mode and a single ball mode. Expect it some time this week.
12/23/06 :: We've begun to modify a few things to improve performance for jump. We will have to take away a few power ups, for a smoother fps. It's a real shame the Clix can't handle a little more tweens, but we'll do our best to create an enjoyable program. On a side note, we are planning out an agenda for future titles that will be playable on the clix. We'll get out a breif road map for you guys as soon as possible :D Christmas is in two days! Expect a treat from 2SoulDesign on Christmas day! 12:00 am PST (Los Angeles, CA) !!!
-2SoulDesign Dev Team
12/20/06 :: As promised, the new Jump is out! More info here.
12/19/06 :: Wow it's been only two days, but I've had more than 250 unique visitors! I'm in the process of creating another version of jump, but with powerups (everyone loves powerups right?). In the newer version, I'll have to eliminate one ball to reduce the chances of pressing the two buttons at the same time. Other than that, it'll have the same jump action in it, and with a better GUI. Expect it real soon!
We love to hear from you no matter the reason,
2SoulDesign can be contacted by e-mail at : 2souldesign@gmail.com
